A quote over the phone is a guess. A quote after we've seen the door, the track, and the opener is a number you can trust. That's the difference we're working with here.
Most of the doors we quote sit on houses built between 1953 and 2013, with the bulk of the stock going up in the 1980s and 90s. That range matters because a door built for a house from that era often runs on hardware nobody stocks anymore - different spring wind, different bracket spacing, sometimes a track width that doesn't match what's on the shelf today. Two doors that look identical from the driveway can need two very different repairs.
We also work in a cold-moderate climate band, which means the metal in springs and rollers goes through real expansion and contraction across the year. That's not a scare tactic - it's just why a spring that looks fine in July can snap in January.
When you call or fill out the form, tell us the door's rough age, whether it's one panel or sectional, and what it's actually doing wrong - won't open, opens partway, makes a grinding noise, opener runs but door doesn't move. The more specific you are, the closer our first number lands to the final invoice.
The Work We Take On

Those jobs get an on-site number, not a phone number, because guessing wrong on a spring size or a panel order wastes your time and ours.

We can give you a range if you describe the problem clearly - age of the door, what it's doing, one panel or sectional. A firm number needs someone to look at the spring size, track condition, and opener before we quote it, because those details change the price.
Do you work on doors outside Franklin itself?

Why can't you price a bent track without seeing it?
A bent track usually means the door has been pulled out of square, and how bad that is varies a lot. Sometimes it's a quick realignment, sometimes the rollers and hinges need replacing too. We won't quote that blind.
What if my house is older and the door hardware is unusual?
A good number of homes in this area date to the 1950s through the 1990s, and some of those doors run on hardware that isn't made anymore. We'll tell you on site if we need to special-order a part rather than guess at a price.
